Olerup distributor group includes Olerup GmbH with an office in Vienna and Olerup Inc with an office in West Chester, PA, in the U.S. The company also works through a number of independent distributors. Olerup GmbH and Olerup Inc is wholly owned subsidiary to Olerup International AB.

Olerup SSP AB is world leader in the development of kits for genomic HLA typing, SSP, a required step prior to a transplantation to match the donor and recipient. The better the match the lower the risk of complications following transplantation. HLA typing is a standard procedure prior to bone marrow transplantations (hematopathic stem cell transplantations) and is also used in conjunction with organ transplantations (kidney, lung, heart, etc.)

Olerup SSP AB was established in 1992 by Assistant Professor Olle Olerup. In 1998 the company signed a distribution agreement with GenoVision Vertriebs GmbH and GenoVision Inc. In 2003 GenoVision was acquired by Qiagen GmbH and in 2009 Olerup International acquired these rights from Qiagen.

AbSorber’s is a biotechnology company focused on developing products for allogeneic transplantation. AbSorber is also manufacturer of XM-ONE, a endthelial cell crossmatch that was registered within the EU in 2006 and received FDA registration in late 2008. The test is used for enhanced risk assessement before transplantation. AbSorber AB and Olerup SSP AB are based in Stockholm, Sweden
