Olerup is global distributor of molecular diagnostic products and services for HLA typing and antibody detection.

Olerup distributor group includes Olerup GmbH, Olerup Inc and a number of independent distributors. Olerup GmbH and Olerup Inc is wholly owned subsidiary to Olerup International AB.

Olerup has through Olerup GmbH and Olerup Inc has the distribution rights for the Olerup SSP® product line which was acquired from Qiagen GmbH. Olerup GmbH with an office in Vienna, and Olerup Inc. with an office in West Chester, PA, in the U.S. Olerup Inc. will manage sales in the North American region and Olerup GmbH will cover for sales in all other regions.

Olerup SSP AB is world leader in the development of kits for genomic HLA typing, a required step prior to a transplantation to match the donor and recipient. The better the match the lower the risk of complications following transplantation. HLA typing is a standard procedure prior to bone marrow transplantations (hematopathic stem cell transplantations) and is also used in conjunction with organ transplantations (kidney, lung, heart, etc.)

Olerup SSP AB was established in 1992 by Assistant Professor Olle Olerup. In 1998 the company signed a distribution agreement with GenoVision Vertriebs GmbH and GenoVision Inc. In 2003 GenoVision was acquired by Qiagen GmbH and in 2009 Olerup International acquired these rights from Qiagen.
